ONE MORE PHOTO LEFT OFF FROM "CAN THESE BONES LIVE AGAIN?"

Little bench that Bill refinished and wrote about (see below);
it is resting on top of a large desk that belonged to his daddy.
Anna Belle is keeping a close watch over all!
Here are Bill's comments on the history of the bench. He laminated and affixed the notes underneath the bench. He left that area unfinished so that everyone would know how it originally looked in its unfinished state:
This bench was a store “fixture” used to display items in different areas of the store (J. Polk Morris & Sons-Kentwood, Louisiana) and I remember it to be one of many - they were different sizes and heights. I have no idea what happened to the rest of the “fixtures”. This bench and all of the mentioned fixtures, was made by Uncle Jim. Mother Morris (Virginia), my grandmother had five sisters. Two never married: Aunt Mamie (everyone’s favorite) and Aunt Fanny (Frances). Three sisters did marry: Aunt Lillian married Mac Galbreath, Aunt Lucille married Ralph Napier and Aunt Cottie (Clara) married Jim Davis (Uncle Jim).
The bench is made of cypress and was never finished but was wrapped with paper many times for various display purposes. I removed, as best I could, most of the staples/tacks that held the paper on. In later years the bench was in the weather and I have sanded most of the bench but left the underside untouched on purpose. At the time of the writing of this note the beach is over 75 years old, a fact I can attest to.
